Future pharmacists reducing pharmaceuticals in water
Back in 2014, FIP report: Pharmacists’ role in “Medication without harm” indicated that the Pharmacists are mediators between prescribers and patients. They provide support for appropriate prescribing and educate patients about the safe disposal of unwanted (including unused) or expired medicines and about medicines return or take-back programs. Furthermore, pharmacists are the one who arrange proper disposal of medications and coordinate with other steakhouses effective and safe medication disposal for patients and environment.

Short introduction to who you are.
My name is Mandy Crommentuijn – van Rhenen, a pharmacist who switched to education in July 2020. Before 2020, I worked at the KNMP at the Medicine Information Center on projects about pharmacogenetics, clinical rules and bariatric surgery. Currently I coordinate the course Cardiovascular diseases, a longitudinal course where students experience healthcare from the patient perspective and the Pharmacy Game.

Hi, I am Katelyn Lopes Barreto. I currently am in my 2nd year of the Pharmacy Master in Leiden.
If you could choose between conventional education and the Pharmacy Game, what would be your preference and why?
I think I would prefer the Pharmacy Game over conventional game, but you do need conventional education to have a theoretical base knowledge that you need during the game.
